Dishonest ripoff mechanic. Smiles a lot but behind those teeth a lot of $$$ waiting on the bill. Charges $100 an hour plus shop supplies fee that were not used. Very disappointed.

I had my blazer at Sears and they found my engines head gasket leaking. They recommended me to take it to Walts Auto Service since they did not get into that kind of work. Walts guys checked it out and confirmed it was bad. They gave my a detailed estimate and took there time explaining it to me. when I came back for the repairs it was spot on to the estamate. Done in the time they said it would be. Exceeded my expectations.

Prompt, quick service on a mirror replacement. I appreciated the ride to and from without a wait. Unusually friendly service for a repair shop. The cost was less than I’d anticipated.

To whom it may concern, When Eric Benavidez brought his car in, his complaint was that his car had a thumping noise that was coming from the front and then the noise moved to the rear after he rotated his tires from front to back. Eric explained that he locked his tires up when he came upon back up traffic were I-70 meets I-470. Eric asked us to find the cause of that noise.. We test drove his vehicle and confirmed the loud thumping noise from the rear of the vehicle. We found flat spots on his rear tires from where the vehicle skidded coming to a stop and damage to his right rear wheel scrapped up and inside lip was damaged. I called the customer on the phone and went over what we found causing the thumping noise and damage to his wheel. I recommended replacing the rear tires and balancing them. I explained to him the total cost for diagnosing his concern, parts, labor and taxes and his discount was $359.24 Eric states that I did not fix his original complaint and that I was dishonest and ripped him off. Funny how the thumping noise was in the front then moved to the rear with the tires by the customers own emission. I am very honest with my customers and have not ever ripped off or mislead any of my customers. I provide my professional and honest opinion. I am truly sorry I can not please every customer.

Came with knocking/thumping/thudding in rear wheels. Rear tires were replaced. Also given diagnostic, the extent of which was not requested, and received estimate for > $2500 engine work. Dx bad head gasket despite no symptoms. Original complaint attenuated but not fixed. Walt thought that one of the rear wheels might need to be replaced. Got second opinion, showing him bill and estimate from Walt's. Results: Other mechanic outraged at what I was charged and flabbergasted at the engine work estimate - thought that work was unnecessary. Showed video Walt showed me to other mechanic - he thought it was a bogus test for a head gasket problem. As for the original complaint, the second mechanic replaced the right rear wheel bearing - worked like a charm. (Cheaper than a new wheel, too!)
