I took my '85 Mercedes 190e to this shop 3 weeks ago for a transmission rebuild. It took them a week just to look at my car and give me an estimate, which was expensive. I stuck with it however because this shop has a good reputation around the area. After 2 weeks there was still no progress on my car. The manager, Bill, told me they were having problems locating the parts even though the mercedes 190 series is one of the most popular models mercedes has ever made and the parts are very readily available. He re-assured me to be patient and said that the car would definitely be done within a week. 10 days later my car is still not ready and Bill is telling me they're having problems getting the parts shipped out. It seems to me that they're pushing my car back in order to do other work. The estimated completion of my car is now a week from today which will put the grand total over a month of work. I plan on perusing litigation against Lucille's for lost wages and for the cost of my rental car. Steer clear of Lucille's because they obviously are not the shop they used to be and do not know how to handle their work load.
