Took my car here and it look 3 1/2 weeks to get fixed. In my three and a half weeks of my car sitting in the same spot in the lot, I had been down there 4 times and called numerous times always with the answer "your car will be done tomorrow." Or "we will call you with an update." One time in those 3 1/2 weeks did he ever call me back. After Two weeks I checked in and he said he couldn't find the parts needed. My dad took down the TWO part names and was able to find them online in about 20 minutes. The original owner is no longer there and the new one has kept the same name and is going by the previous owner's good reputation and it's a shame. In a nutshell Sharkeys is unreliable, unorganized, and inefficient.

I have had all my automotive needs met at Sharkey's. Fair and courteous service for over 15 years. They call you with estimates before proceeding on the work and give you a time frame it will take to do the repairs. Offer you options within your budget. Great pricing and work! I owned a Volvo and they were excellent with service. When it came time to purchase a new vehicle I brought my prospective choice to Bill and we test drove it. He looked it over thoroughly prior to my purchase. EXCELLENT service, thank you for being a vital part of our community. by SDL

I have been using Sharkey's for all of my automotive repairs for almost as long as I've lived here. They provide GREAT service and I recommend them to everyone I know. We won't take our vehicles anywhere else.

I have been going to this place for over 15 years. I recommend this service station to all my friends. When I was a service manager for a local company this was the only place we brought our vehicles to get serviced. Their prices are fair and they fixed what others could not. Even when I moved out of town I still brought my vehicles back here to get serviced.

I have always use Sharkey's Services Station for all repairs on my car!!! Judy and Bill are such nice and wonderful people who are honesty and efficient when it comes to car repairs. I actually drive 2+ hours to take my car to Sharkey's because of the trust I have in them working on my car and the amazing customer service they provide.

We have used Sharkey's Service Station for all our non-warranty work/repairs for the past 25-30 years. We have always been treated fairly and honestly. They have done everything from inspections, to oil changes, to brakes, and engine overalls. Bill has kept all of our cars running and in great shape. I have recommended him to many of our friends and new people in town that are looking for an honest mechanic at a reasonable price. Their biggest fault is not being able to say no to a customer .. they have spoiled their customers by bending over backwards to try and get you in with a day or so and will stay hours after closing to complete a job. Try getting that kind of service anywhere else. We actually have family members that will bring their vehicles from Pittsburgh to Sharkey's, they say it is worth the drive !!

I have had many repairs done, as exhaust, brake service, tune up, and state inspection services done at Sharkeys, for both my vehicles and my girlfriends.
I have never experienced anything even remotely close to what Davis has described, I am sorry to hear he feels he was treated unfairly as I do not think that is the way these people do business, at least in the 15 years of dealing with them.
I am posting this because people need to know this is far from normal procedure at Sharkeys, and you should never hesitate to take a vehicle there for repairs.

On the way home after picking up the car, I still could hear the same rubbing noise, and there is now a pulsation in the brake peddle when braking. I returned to Sharky’s and Judy said l could leave the car and they could fix it tomorrow. I agreed and started to leave. Sharky yelled at her from the shop, "No, it needs brake drums." Judy went into the shop, then returned and told me the same. That was a heck of a way to find out that it needs brake drums! That was not mentioned in the estimate that I was given over the phone nor by a follow up call.
Judy also told me that they didn't have time to test drive my car because another person bought a car in late that it still needed 3 more hours of work and the customer had to have the car back today and they closed in less than an hour. At that point I felt it was best to just leave. I walked out and Judy followed me outside yelling at me and repeating, “Well, what do you want me to do?” And stating that everything was coming down on her all at once. I told Judy that I was sorry that she was having those problems, and having to deal with another customers rush job but I expected to get what I paid for. She then yelled,” I just bet you want us to give you free brake drums.”
I then went into the garage and told Sharky that he just lost a customer. He said, “That’s fine”.
When I returned home, I had a message on my answering machine from Judy. She apologized for losing her temper and she said that she was under a lot of pressure from other customers and should not have taken it out on me. I have saved this message.
I trusted Sharkey’s to make proper repairs. They did not. They knew that my car needed brake drums, yet failed to notify me of such. They with intentional deception, accepted $227 payment for repairs that had not been properly completed, and also neglected to test the repair work that they did perform.
