Penfield Service Center

Awesome shop--wouldn't trust any other place. We've been bringing our cars here for years and have never had anything but excellent service and repair work!

These guys are crooks plain and simple. I have had my car serviced there for the past 3 years and fell for their seemingly honest approach every time, however this will be the last time they see any of my vehicles. After being told, as they always do, to not worry they will keep the costs down I was totally shocked when they called gave me the price of the repair that was finished and little could be done about the cost. Just for comparison I went to two other garages in Fairfield and asked how much they would charge for the work and what turned out to be close to a $1,000.00 repair at Penfield was quoted below $600.00 at both competitors. Their mechanics work is sloppy and if they want to charge premium rates then I expect premium service and they fall way short of providing anything premium. As I look at my past receipts I can only imagine how much I was overcharged in the past. My advice is shop around and avoid Penfield.

Straight forward good service.. broken old hoses cause an evaporative system leak. Good fix. Like the smoke machine used to detect leak.
