Took my Truck in for a Transmission Service (Oil & Filter change) and to diagnose a problem shifting. Dennis diagnosed trouble as a TPS unit, and told me that they were very expensive and only available from the dealer. I agreed to purchase the part at $544. Went on to find out that part was available in the aftermarket for less than $300 my cost. Confronted Dennis on this and he told me I was wrong. Argued my point and then he went and looked. My fault for not price shopping a new to me shop before agreeing to purchase any service. In their favor, Dennis bought me a TV cable for the truck, my cost would have been $140, to offset the overpayment for the TPS. I was pretty happy about this, but then I went to pick up my truck and found that the transmission service had been overlooked. I felt that Dennis spent too much time talking, and not nearly enough time listening to his customer. I'm very disappointed to have had this experience with a shop that came to me very highly recommended. My advice? Let Midway Do the work if you can afford it, as they know their business, BUT always double check their parts prices!!!
