I brought in my 1999 Corolla( 140k miles) for what I thought was a cracked exhaust manifold or rusted intermediate pipe, and from what i told the owner ( Tim ) he quoted me a price of $200 at the lowest if he could remove and weld the cracked manifold. Tim was so nice and told me that he would call me before he installed any parts or did any repairs to make sure i wanted and could afford them. And as a man of his word he called me and told me that he would have to replace a part, a $15 exhaust gasket and that it would only cost about $100 total to fix, I gave him the go ahead and when i came to pick up the car after work he told me the price was only $73. WOW i was amazed that a mechanic was so honest and didn't tell me a story about how he replaced this or fixed that. Just the truth a cheap little gasket that was only a 45min job for him. On a scale of 1-10 i would give him a 10 all day long. he could have easily told me the manifold was rusted or even worse as i thought originally. Very rare to find a mechanic that is so trustworthy.
