My wife took her vehicle in to check a cigarette lighter that was not working and left with a $218.86 Bill. The business charged $82.57 for "diagnostic repair" to determine the problem, which was obviously a bad fuse. When I called to inquire about this charge they said it was the hourly rate for the mechanic to determine the problem. They also replaced the air filter and alternator belt even though not asked to check for this. The charge to replace the belt was another $57.80 in addition to the charge of $48.13 for the belt itself. All statements above are factual. You be the judge- fair?
