The worked described was done within the last 8 months on several vehicles that my wife & I own. Alex and his staff are friendly, professional and quite knowledgeable. 2 of my vehicles are close to ten years old with 70k to 80k miles on them. As with older vehicles, issues arrise and maintenance is required. On my wifes SUV, I originally went to the dealer for the free oil change and was told that the truck needed additional servicing of approximately $1,500 (new Nox sensor, drive, a/c belts, trans fluid and coolant service. I went to International Transmission and Alex had the truck done in 2 days (nox sensor labor intensive on this model), and he price was $1,000 cheaper than the dealer. Alex could have replaced my trans fluid, but then told me that since the truck had high miles and the trans fluid was never changed that my best option was to just leave it alone. Alex also inspected the problem areas that the Nissan dealer "recommended" be fixed. Again, alex could have done the work, been a bit cheaper and made some money, but he didn't ; Alex took the time to show me a few things that the dealer wanted to replace and said the dealer lied, the vehicle was fine and not to worry. Late Friday night (8/31/12) I broke down in my beater car I take to work and had to be towed by AAA to International Transmission. The initial prognosis did not look good, but after dropping everything. Alex and his staff figured out the problem and will have my car ready on Tuesday. Alex could have told me I needed a new or rebuilt engine, but instead he worked on my car for almost an hour to get to the root of the problem. That's honesty! That is a great mechanic! That is simply great business! I additionally had to have 4 new brake pads and 4 new rotors put on my mini van (lesson learned, don't buy a Kia van or SUV...the brakes suck!
