On December 7, 2010 I purchased a 2003 Avalanche 1500 from Galarza Motor Sports. They asked me to assess the damage on the vehicle during the purchase process and they would fix all the known damage on the vehicle. Upon picking up the vehicle 2 weeks later there were still some issues with the vehicle. I have since been back to their "certified" body shop every SINGLE week since the date of the purchase paying out of pocket costs to have reoccuring issues with my vehicle which was suppossed to have been handled before the vehicle was delivered to me on the purchase date. When I first picked up my truck I was told that if I purchased the tailgate locking cylinder I would be reimbursed for the cost since they "couldn't locate the part" through any of their parts shops. I later found out it is because they only order used parts and since a used locking cylinger just wouldn't work there is nothing that could be done outside of replacing it with a new part. So I purchased the cylinder and have been waiting since December 14, 2010 to be reimbursed for the total cost of $189.67. Another issue I had with the vehicle is the "humming" noise coming from the front end of the vehicle only when the truck is driving. I was told by their master tech (who has since been replaced 3 times over since I began dealing with them) that it was a torn belt in my tire and that it just needed to be replaced. I found out today (March 7, 2011) that it is the actual hub bearings on both sides of the front end axle that need to be replaced at a total cost out of pocket to me for $864.91. Now lets discuss the vehicles rear end damage that was suppossed to be replaced upon our purchase agreement. I have been discussing the replacement of the rear bumper which was damaged prior to my purchase of the vehicle and I was told they have been waiting on replacement parts since December 17, 2010. It is now March 7, 2010 and I have finally decided to have the parts replaced at my own cost and the total repairs out of pocket to me were $2852.34. The rear bumper, rear bumper cladding, bumper stabilizers, rear tailgate cladding, tow hitch, spare tire lock and lowering harness, and tow hitch electrical harness were all in need or replacement which again Galarza is refusing to discuss. A week after receiving my vehicle i noticed it was leaking antifreeze badly and discussed this with galarza. I found out it was recommended by the body shop to the owner that the water pump and gaskets be replaced before I took the vehicle home which obviously was declined and I was forced to pay out another $383.62 in repairs to replace a water pump which was already not working when the vehicle was sold to me. My speedometer has not been operating properly since the purchase of the vehicle and since then I have taken it into Galarza to discuss repairs and they have now worked on the vehicle 3 times over the past 5 weeks on the speedometer alone and it still isn't working. I took the vehicle to Bill Heard Chevrolet to have the repairs diagnosed and the total cost is $1164.67. So far I am currently at a personal loss of $5454.91 just 3 months after purchasing a "certified" used vehicle from Galarza Motor Sports. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY! THE OWNER FRED IS A THEIF!!!
