Have known the family for 30 years. I trust Phil. He may not be the cheapest guy in town, but he is the most honest and awesome to work with. Have had a continuing problem for a year and the car just hasn't run correctly. Have discussed with Phil and both did research. He narrowed it down and knew what to check for. One of those things that hides behind another problem with an oxygen sensor. Car runs wonderfully, and he stayed in my budget. He lost a fair amount of business due to the 3rd Street project. The city made it very difficult to let traffic find a way to his business (as well as others in that stretch of road) when they went overkill and spent WAY TOO MUCH on that road. Anyway, Phil is awesome. He will work with you on parts. He has let me find my own parts in junk yards and such, and he will rebuild and install them. I am no motor-head, but I can work around stuff that makes sense. I may get my oil changed, brakes, muffler, and so on done at other places or on my own if I have a coupon or in general can save some money. But when it comes to the engine or anything else I can't figure out... I ALWAYS go to Phil. Down to earth Christian people. If you are frustrated with your current mechanic, or just don't know where to go.... try Eiler's. My opinion that he is the best in town.
