On January 10th, I was involved in an accident where my car was struck by another person who slid on ice and came into my lane (opposing traffic). Based on a recommendation of a friend, I had my car taken to Chalfont Collision Center in Chalfont, Pa. According the person who recommended them, they did good work and they were voted "Best of Bucks" in 2013. Well, they wouldn't get my vote for it this year. It's now the first day of April, and I still do not have my car fixed. I have been paying out of pocket for a rental car so that I can get back and forth to work, which as one would imagine, has drained my savings from three months of use. Each time I speak with the owner, I am told it will be ready by the end of the following week. Each week comes and goes with no car. The past two and half weeks, I have not been able to get in touch with the owner nor would anyone at the shop return my calls, emails or texts. So, I took a drive out to the shop to see just what had been done so far after nearly three months. To say I was highly disappointed is a gross understatement. They had only removed a door in three months' time. I finally received a text response from the owner on Saturday afternoon (3/15/14) as I was about to pull out from the shop's parking lot. I put the rental car in park to read it. It stated that the owner had been sick for a week and that the weather had put things off, but promised the car would be ready by the end of the week. Obviously, that did not happen. So what is their work like you might ask??? I cannot honestly review the quality of their work since NOTHING has been done. This amount of time WITH LACK of communication to let me know what is going on (left several messages, emails and texts). Next email or call for them will probably be from Fox 29 News, or Channel 10. Right now, I'd warn everyone NOT to use them. It's not worth the aggravation.
