on 12/19 Frank Briggs came out to 6577 Shepard Oaks Street to look at my 96' Chevy Monte Carlo because it was leaking a large amount of transmission fluid. He told me that he needed to "get it up in the air" to look at it better, and he could have a tow truck come pick it up and take it back to his shop. I told him I could only pay him in the form of a check, ,and he said that was okay. He told me it would only take him a day at the most to fix the vehicle and it wouldn't be that expensive. He also let me know that he would either call me or come by and let me know the status of the vehicle. The following day he never called me, but I called him several times to check the status of the vehicle. Each time he told me that the way the way the tow truck guys left the vehicle it can't be moved and he's waiting for someone to bring him something so he can move the vehicle. At 6:00 I went up to the business and asked again what the status was of my vehicle, and again he told me the same thing. I told him if the vehicle was not repaired by 10:00 am on Wed. 12/21 I was going to seek out another mechanic to make the repairs. When I called him on 12/21 he said that he didn't start on the vehicle and it wouldn't be done by 10:00 am because he thought I was going to go find another mechanic, and if I want my car back I have to pay him 90.00 in cash only. Also if he worked on it he would only accept a cash payment.
