Based on the reviews here and others, I thought I would try Bells Automotive. HOW wrong can they be! I found them to be greedy and incompetent. I took my 01 suburban in to have the compressor replaced. I told Bill (the service manager) exactly what I wanted done! I knew the compressor was the issue based on the exact description of my problem on the internet as well as a technical service bulletin that had been issued by GM on the issue; therefore, there was absolutely no question on what parts needed to be replaced!!!! In addition, I had already replaced all of the belts and tensioner. I even authorized them to perform the replacement at my cost even if that was not my problem. When I picked up the car, which appears to be fixed, they charged me a $75 diagnostic fee. I told them that I had done the diagnostic. They refused to remove the charge, saying they didn’t believe me! 2nd in performing the repair, the tech broke part of the part he was removing; they charged me another $75 for his incompetence, saying it took him over an hour to fix an issue that he produced. Further, I was told that I would have been charged an additional $150 if he could not fix the part he broke! I will not return! Go to Pit Stop Auto Repair, at least they are honest…..
