On the evening of September 1st we returned to our car in Savannah and found that the car was no longer there. There was a sign by where we parked that listed the contact information for Austins Towing in Savannah (912-239-9400). We called Austins Towing numerous times on the evening of September 1st and only received busy signals. We then called Austin's Towing the morning of September 2nd @ 11:13AM and were told the car was not there and they did not tow our vehicle (We have records of the phone call). At that point we called the police department to report that our was stolen (There is a police record). We received a letter in the mail on September 20th from Austins Towing stating that they did indeed have our vehicle and we were being charged $15.00 a day for storage. When asked why Austins Towing did not notify us earlier - They stated their fax machine was down for two weeks. We attempted to work with Austin's Towing to pay for the one nights storage versus the several weeks we were being charged for. We spoke to Ashley multiple times and asked to speak to the owner (Austin Yarbrough) - Mr. Yarbrough never returned our calls. In addition to a renting a car - We also had to spend ~$450.00 to get our car out of the Austin's towing lot. We want to do the right thing and pay for the one's nights storage and towing. We feel we are being taken advantage by Austins Towing for the being charged storage days in excess of one night - As we have a record that states they did not have our car on September 2nd.
