Do not take your car here. We brought in an older VW Beetle for inspection and repairs. The hood could not be opened which we did ask to be fixed. Alby had to cut the handle off to fix it. In the process he cut completely through the hood in two places. He tried to cover up the damage with a crappy paint job. We asked him about the holes and he said that was the only way he could fix the handle. The hood is ruined and needs to be replaced. All he offered to do was fill in the holes with plastic body filler and re-spray the area again. That wouldn't reinforce the handle area which he compromised with the cuts he put through the hood. The body filler would just fall out anyway; it is not meant to replace missing metal. He didn't call to let us know that he would have to cut up the hood to replace the handle. He also put on a used handle for $30 when he could have put on a new one for the same price. He also did the rear brakes. He only replaced one of the rear drums. I've been in the auto industry for 30 years and I always replace them in pairs. I don't know what he was thinking. We didn't tell him to cut corners to save us money. We wanted the vehicle fixed right. The fuel hose which I showed him when we dropped it off is still resting on bare metal which will eventually rub through and cause a fuel leak and maybe a fire. He just grabbed it and said its fine and the previous guy had used fuel injection hose which is what it should have on it. When I mentioned the metal fuel line that is supposed to go through the engine housing then to a small piece of hose before the fuel pump he said oh yeah and that he probably had a used one we could have to put on. Why didn't he just fix it right to start with? It seemed that he didn't care about the vehicle. He just wanted to get it in and out and get paid. He is supposed to be the VW guy here in Great Falls but I would never use him again. Save yourself some money and headaches and don't let him destroy your car.
