Windshield wiper problems

Windshield wipers won't park they run at different speeds without me changing speeds , sometimes won't stop. I've tried swapping starter relay with wiper relay and put in a working keeps multi switch. My question is does the "intermittent wiper module" I've been reading about exist in a 1996 grand Cherokee, if so where because I've sure looked. Any help appreciated

Per the '97 FSM that I have, the intermittent wiper function is controlled by the BCM.

There is an Intermittent Wiper Relay in the PDC (power distribution control) box under the hood. Pop the cover off, and there wil be a diagram showing you which one it is. Test it -- that may be your whole problem and a cheap fix to get the intermittent function back.

Try these online resources; www.autopartswarehouse.com, www.rockauto.com, www.partsgeek.com - to list only a few.

In fact, they (RockAuto) list the replacement wiper relay from around $3.70 for your vehicle.

Wiper relay = STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS part #RY438T - or it's equivalent
