Jimm 1/24/2013The no heat condition can be several possibilities; coolant low level, coolant incorrect mixture (not at recommended 50/50 water and anti-freeze), faulty radiator or reservoir cap (not able to build or maintain pressure rating), faulty / misadjusted heater blend door, faulty heater switch, faulty heater relay, faulty / clogged heater core. Check these items first before suspecting the water pump as the culprit.

amandaatwood93 1/31/2013Also along with those issues if your water pump explodes it will explode into the engine and there is a chance that it will ruin your engine. Your coolant will be completely empty and your engine oil will look muddy, making you think it was your head gaskets. The heat wont work unless you go very high speeds but then you have to beware of overheating. The car wont run completely the same and if you run it until the water pump explodes your car will die and wont restart until you either get your engine cleaned out because of the debris and also a new water pump or a completely different engine. I would recommend getting this checked out before it explodes because repair is very costly. I know this because this happened to me
