Whats probility that repair shop's meter is faulty?
After spending $577.43 on A/C repair, oil chg etc, Trans flush Service I was advised my alternator was bad or going bad. When I used my multimeter to check (engine running, A/C on Max, Headlights and radio on) it reads 14/2 Volts.
The 14.2 volts is a good reading. If the alternator fails, you will become stuck within a short time after it fails as the battery becomes discharged. So time will tell if there really is or was a problem with the alternator.
