2005 Honda Pilot EX 6 Cyl 3.50L

Body & Interior

I have wet carpet on the driver's side of the car.

i can't tell if its antifreeze or water. The heater works but we can smell antifreeze from time to time when starting the vehicle. Car doesn't smell like antifreeze on the inside but is starting to get a moldy smell. I have read that this may be the heater core. What else can i look for besides foggy windows to determine if I have a bad heater core?

Look for low coolant level.
Most of the time when you have a wet carpet on the front area or the carpet if indicates you have a leaking heater core. About 90% of the time.

Thanks Jay, I checked the level in the radiator overflow and it is low. Leads me to believe it is the heater core as well.
