Vibration problem maybe with driveshaft

Had a bad Front Prop shaft CV joint (the transfer case side) that I replaced. 3 month latter it failed explosively at 80mph. Got a replacement. When I replaced that one I checked the other CV joint looked good. Moved well. Checked the prop shaft and not a scratch on it. Only a couple of dings near the very end where the C clip locks it in to the CV joint. I did see a small gash taken out of the flange on the transfer case side that the CV joint screws in to. The gash is very small about the size of a 1/2 inch of number 2 pencil lead.
Symptoms:
Under 50 I some times can feel some vibration some times not. 60mph I can definitely feel vibration. At 60 letting off the gas the vibration seems to get worse then with gas on. Faulty CV joint was torqued down but when replaced the bolts were all finger tight.

Be sure to always replace any suspension, steering, brake components as a set or pair - at the same time.

Try these on-line parts resources; www.autopartsanything.com; www.partsgeek.com; www.Rockauto.com, www.stockwiseauto.com - to list only a few.

In fact, they (RockAuto) list the replacement front CV axle halfshaft from around $41.00 each for your vehicle.

This is not the CV axle halfshaft this is the Prop Shaft going from the transfer case to the front differential. On the Prop Shaft there are 2 CV joints (one on either side). All the manuals say to only replace the CV joint that failed with the one connecting to the transfer case as almost always being the one to fail.

Okay, thanks for the clarification. Replace the Prop shaft from the transfer case - as an assembly; with both new CV joints.

Front prop shaft assembly = A-1 CARDONE part #659909 - or it's equivalent
