1993 Ford Taurus GL 6 Cyl 3.00L

Why does my taurus when driven for roughly 30 min. sputter, stall, or not start if turned off?

I have replaced the spark plugs and wires, fuel filter, and distributor cap. My next step is fuel pump. Please let me know if I am looking in the wrong direction. Generally I can wake up and get in the car and drive to my destination. Then if it is a quick pit stop like a grocery or hardware store my car will either not start or start and shut off when put into gear. Also on occasion while driving down highways it has either sputtered as though it was not getting enough fuel or just stalled. Usually if I sit and wait about an hour it will start up and run fine for me to get home or where ever I was headed. Willing to try anything at this point.

Simple, but you do need to know one detail first. When the engine does not start - (like during that 30 minutes or more) you have to see if there is ignition spark. If there is no spark, replace the ignition module on the side of the distributor. If there is spark when it will not start, then it is likely a fuel pump problem. Update me.
