1991 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 8 Cyl 5.70L

Transmissions & Drivetrains

I switched my 1991 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 305 with a 350 GM crate motor.it builds up rpms, but won't shift after 20 mph.

Cars still has the same tpi set up. The cars ran fine for about two weeks until the retention cable snapped. I replaced it and it would only go up to 35 mph, build up rpms and rev, but never go any faster. I had the cable adjusted, I had someone reset the cable buy holding in this button near the retention cable in the throttle body and nothing works. I know that the transmission is fine. Nobody wants to touch an older car where I live and I am dying to enjoy the knew motor. Can someone please help me?

Do you still have the stock transmission? If you do there is a transmission switch that cold have broke its inside the car under the console its a white piece of plastic that could be the problem or a transmission sensor could have went bad? Could you help me answer my question? Let me know if it anything I said was the problem?
