When I have to stop my car does a jerking motion. What could be causing this? I was told that its my lower control ARM.

Hmmmm i dont think your control arm is the culprit, i have a question though, does the jerking motion feel like the car is wanting to continue moving? Sometimes if the torque converter lockup solenoid is bad, it won't allow the converter to disengage at the right time and you get the feeling as if the car had a manual transmission and it won't come out of gear even though you're laying on the brake and forcing the engine below idle rpm. Or does it feel like the engine is running rough and jerking the car as you're slowing down? Does the check engine light come on or flash?

It feels like the engine is running rough and it jerks when I'm slowing down, and the check engine light is on.
