I just started getting a loud humming sound when my car is moving, any ideas what could cause this?

I recently had a new trans installed, could this be the problem, or maybe the axles going bad, but my steering is ok

First question - did the sound start after the transmission was installed? If yes, then return the vehicle to the repair shop for them to correct at no cost to yourself.

Could be failed Front Axle Bearing Assy --- if they are on the car since 2001
& when the trans was R&R they may have damaged the bearings using air
tools on the axle nut.
