1997 Pontiac Bonneville SE 6 Cyl 3.80L


Stalls frequently while driving or idling. Have replaced ICM and Crankshaft sensor but still stalls

Engine has 104000 miles, just had it serviced

Having some type of Service or Preventative Maintenance done
& then not explain it here,is not telling us much about what you
want us to guess at

I don't think you had both the ICM & CPS fail at one time

More likely if you didn't replace them,then the shop just threw
some parts at it

You need to explain why your at a shop & go for a road test if needed

Then you authorize only what needs to be diagnosed & corrected-First

I fail to understand why folks think a simple service of some sort will
fix all the vehicles problems

You have a problem-you diagnosed the issue & find the fault-nothing
else-the service items come when you have no driveability issues

While the mileage is low--the car is 20 years old & may have some mechanical
wear-that is where you start & then go after the electrical,vacuum,fuel,evap,
voltage & other areas

When it stalls what is dropping out

That is not a vehicle you should be using

It will break down & cost you a large towing bill, plus the inevitable diagnostic fees
