2000 Dodge Ram 1500 Van Base 8 Cyl 5.2L

Preventive Maintenance

Are there special tools to replace all spark plugs on a Dodge 2000 Ram Van?

IDuring regular maintenance. I replaced my spark plugs. They are located inside an unremovable metal cylinder. I replaced all except the second plug on the driver's side from the front of the vehicle. The cylinder seems to be too narrow. I'm unable to fit the spark plug socket all the way down to remove the plug. Is this common? How can I replace it as my car is starting to backfire.

Autozone.com has the procedures and the pictures for this project .Navigate to that site and take a look. Login_year of the car_vehicule repair guides_general information and maintenance_routine maintenance and tune-up_spark plugs. There is a picture displayed those tools ( nothing special ) required for the job. Hope this helps and be safe. HAPPY THANKSGIVING.
