What are the best brand/type of front wiper blades for my 2003 Jetta?
My current wiper blades are no longer clearing moisture off my windshield effectively, reducing visibility in inclement weather. I'd like to change them myself if possible. Thanks for your guidance!

The wiper blades are easy to change. Not sure of the 'best' - recommend you try several types over time - or consult with other Jetta owners to see what type is preferrred.

Wipers as in ANSO are rated depending on severity of weather conditions, go to O'rielys auto parts and read about them or http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/

I'm experiencing the exact same problem with my 2002 VW Passat 1.8t wagon. I've found the broken part, but I just don't know what it's called. It is located right next to the driver front tire. the main part is kinda boxy and bends, but there is a hole in it where another part should be connecting to it. Hopefully fixing it later this week.

Its a timing chain no need to replace .the only thing is that the chain guides do wear out some time.then the chain should b replace. The chain is between the tranny and the motor . u can get a lot of miles on the chain good luck.

    My car battery keeps dying.
Not only that, The fans that are located behind the grill of the car are also turning on by themselves without the car even being on. Which may contribute to the draining of the battery. Please help?

The fans should only stay on for a bit if need be to cool the motor after it's been running . There is a relay that controls this and it sounds like it's going bad . Take your car to a local parts store (auto zone , napa ) and they can first check your charging system to make sure it's ok . They do it ffor free . They can also show you where the relay is and get you one . My Jeep did that and would kill the battery in no time . Relay was hard to get to . under battery box behind the bumper .
