How to change the air filter and the right mirror directional signal?
What type of tool do you need to change the air filter?

    • Nissan Technical Advisor
Open the hood and look for a block box at the side of engine compartment with snaps holding top and large air duct going to intake manifold. Just flip the snaps and then you can pull up the cover easily and remove the air filter. The side mirror can be removed by removing the door panel to access the bolts the holding the mirror and this will require a professional. Seek a professional help and check the link below to gain some idea about door panel removal.

any car will benefit by briefly warming at idle before driving especially in cold weather, but the most important thing to remember is not to rev the motor or accelerate your rpm's until the temp. guage is up.

Car does not need to warm up before driving. If you do that, you waste gas for nothing. After you crank up, run it immeditaly, and that the best way to go.

I have searched all over and under the Mercedes E320 and cannot (for the life of me!!) find that darn fuel filter.....

Typically, mercedes puts there fuel filter and fuel pump somewhere near the passenger side rear wheel. There is a cover you will have to remove to access it. The fuel filter is definitely not in the tank like the last guy thinks! You will not need any specialized tools other than some basic wrenches and screw drivers.

the fuel filter and fuel pump is under the car i,d say about where the right rear passenger would sit. it has a black plastic cover

If you can’t find your fuel filter under hood and done tracing your fuel lines but there’s no fuel filter it is possible that it’s inside your fuel tank.

Is your check engine light ON? Try to diagnose your vehicle with a scan tool to determine what the stored trouble code in your vehicle is. The code he is talking about is the stored trouble code and you will need a scan tool to determine what code is it. You can visit AutoZone to have you vehicle diagnose with a scan tool and reset the codes, its free.

current..would it be the headlight switch itself the problem? It just stop working today all other lights are working except the headlights. Please help

    • Nissan Technical Advisor
Check the headlight fuse/relay may be defective, and replace it if necessary. A continuity test will verify if there's an open circuit in the wiring. Click the link below to learn how to perform continuity test.

How old is battery? Have you had it tested? Try batt. test first. If batt.still good, then several possible problems to look for, something staying on after key switched off i.e...a lite.a motor, etc. might have a shortsomewhere.hook a volt meter to your battery then start pulling fuses one at a time. Watch V.Meter, if volts increase when fuse pulled, notr what fuse controls and check the for problem.also check all relays if hot to touch, relay is stuck on,causing the power drain.. Good Luck Hope you find and are able to fix your prob.

WHERES THE OIL FILTER LOCATED,AND THE DRAIN PLUG...PHOTO'S ARE EVEN BETTER. THANK YOU

    • J and K AUTOMOTIVE TOWING AND REPAIR
Looking at the top of the engine from the front of the car, the oil filter canister is at the very back on the right-hand side. you will need a 1-1/16" wrench (or socket) to losen the nut (built as part of the canister) which will unscrew the top portion of the canister so you can replace the filter. The filter will come out with the top portion and you should replace the 3 O-rings at the same time.and for your drain plug under the bottom of the car near the center , left of the exhaust

Just follow the upper radiator hose to where it connects to the engine. This is the thermostat housing. Once it is remove just remove the housing bolts and you can remove the thermostat. Be sure to drain the coolant first.

You have to check out the electrical controls first like the fuse, switch etc etc. so you are sure it is a motor issue and not a control issue. If everything checks out then its a motor issue.

Now i wonder if this was your case or not since its been 6 months since you last posted this question.
