I looked at your owners guide at fordparts. Didn't see cabin air filter? You do have an air-filter for your engine.

Does your owners manual show anything?

The cabin air filter, if you have one, is a dealer installed accessory. Doesn't come from the factory with one.

Where is inside cabin air filter located.

Try to remove the glove box and see check if there is a cabin filter there, if none you should check by the windshield on the passenger side.

Diplay by fuel shows "CO" what does this mean car has been in storage for10 years working out the kinks

CO means circuit open, the cluster has sensed an open circuit for your fuel sending unit... You more than likely need a new one, even though the wiring should be checked before replacement. It is in the gas tank, which i think must be lowered to replace it.

Hmmm....too broad a question for me. My initial impression would be the air suspension. Maybe you can shed more light on it

How do u release the spare tire in the trunk
    • Spoon Sports
      8/26/2011 Spoon Sports
The tire is underneath the rear cargo area of the vehicle or where the third row seat is if you have them.
There is a hole in the bumper with a rubber stopper in it. Remove the stopper, insert the crobar, straight end first, into the hole until it matches up with the 'screw' inside the hole and crank. The tire will eventually fall to the ground. Either pull it out or drive your vehicle forward to expse the tire.

Here's a trivia. If you notice, the face of the tire closer to the front of the vehicle is angled down. This is a safety issue where if you were to get rear ended (Knock on Wood), the tire has no chance of going into the passenger cabin and will do little damage to the rest of the car if it is dislodged.

      8/22/2011 yboy82
You should check the condition of your battery (voltage, cranking amperage, state of charge) and its terminals/cables. Try to jump start you vehicle if it starts, you should check your battery.

Why does water run out from under center front part of car engine with good radiator when putting water in by hose?
Milage @:31380[5].noticed this problem after starting car up after it sat up for about a little over a year out doors in the yard.

Several possibilities; leaking water pump, leaking radiator hose, leaking heater hose, leaking thermostat gasket. Try to have a cooling system pressure test performed - when the engine is cold - to determine the specific leak point.

You should check the 132 TSB's and 1 Recall in your vehicle, you should check out the 7 TSB for Airbags in your vehicle on this link just click the title of the TSB to see its summary.

The light is on because there is a problem with the air bag system. When the air bag light is on the system is not working and will not deploy in the event of an accident. When the air bag light is on the system has set a code(s) in the computer A scanning device can retrieve the code(s). The code(s) will give you a clue where the problem is. Many auto parts stores will read the code(s) from your vehicles computer for zip if you purchase the parts necessary to repair the vehicle from them.
    • TechSam
      8/10/2011 TechSam
That is so true, in order to pinpoint you do need to scan for codes how ever the problem lies in one of the following places: VSS vehicle speed sensors, seat belts, loose ground at crash sensors OR the clock spring.

Windshield wipers and tail lights do not work. Does one switch or fuse control both.
    • Nissan Technical Advisor
No, wiper motor has a relay and fuse separate to the fuse of tail lights. Problem its either it happens that both fuse got blown or the clock spring in the steeing wheel is damaged. Testing the wires for voltage and resistance will confirm this.

      P0401 = Insufficient EGR flow
Possibly a fault with the EGR valve, may also be related to plugged up ports causing restricted flow to the intake. First, try cleaning the EGR valve.

P0420 = Catalyst system efficiency below threshold (Bank 1)
      Possible causes:
Oxygen (O2) sensor not working correctly
Damaged or leaking exhaust (pipe, manifold, catalytic converter)
      Damaged catalytic converter

Gas pump keeps clicking off while refueling
The last three times that I have tried to refuel, the gas pump nozzle keeps clicking to off, just like when the tank is full. I have tried re positioning the nozzle to no avail. It take 20 or 30 times to restart in order to fill up. Is this something that I can fix?

Why does my 95 Lincoln does not cut off when I take the key out of the ignition
The only way it cut off is to disconnect battery or alternater
    • Spoon Sports
      8/1/2011 Spoon Sports
At first i though you were dieseling but since you said you have to disconnect a couple of components, its means you have a defective ignition switch and needs to be replaced.

If you look at the steering column just under the ignition lock you will see a small hole approximate 3 millimeters in size. Place the ignition switch in the run position and using a small screw driver or punch, push into this hole. This will release the locking mechanism and allow the lock assembly to slide out.

Is it normal for the radiator fan not to spin some times
it only spins when i push the gas pedal
    • Jimm
      7/31/2011 Jimm
Yes, typically the radiator fan has a fan clutch or fan motor that spins (engages) during higher temperature conditions. When the engine temperature is lower or the air flow is higher - such at highway speeds - then the fan clutch will disengage the fan.
      7/31/2011 memo777
      thank you very much
    • HouseCallAuto
      7/31/2011 HouseCallAuto
No, this is not right at all. You have a bad fan clutch. The fan blades do change the rotational speed dependent upon temperature, but at no time, I say NO TIME should the fan blade not be spinning or spinning so slowly that you can count the revolutions.
