    Oil cap does not fit correctly its like u have to press and turn one way and then another
    The oil cap on my jeep doesn't seem to fit correctly when u go to tighten it.it never gets tight and it never clicks could some of my oil be blowing out of the hole and around the cap

      Replace the oil cap, a new one is only a few dollars cost. Check these various on-line vendors; www.autopartswarehouse.com, www.RockAuto.com, www.partsgeek.com, to list only a few. For example, they (RockAuto) list the engine oil fill cap from around $5.00 for your vehicle.

      What exactly is meant by...'hanging up between gears'? Does this mean grinding? Harshness? Excess noise? Delayed shifting? Cannot get the shifter into the next forward gear?

    How would you know if the differential oil is low on a 1994 jeep grand charokee
    after driving for awhile the jeep starts grinding and pulling to the left side checked wheel baring and it is good don't know what it is

    Transmission does not want to shift into 3rd. gear
    when I get up to about 40 mph, I can let off gas pedal and it will finally shift. No problem shifting into O/D. Sometimes have to do this 2 or 3 times to get it to shift into 3rd. No engine light, no error codes. Help!!! Thanks!!

    I hear loud sound on passenger side of car and now check engine light on but does not feel like the engine
    getting ready to have a bad oil sensor replaced and just replaced a starter, that is when I heard noise, and rpm sometimes not at right level when you stop, sometimes goes up and down

      Check the vehicle for fault codes AS A FIRST STEP to see if there are any sensors were involved to the malfunction of the engine.

      1.Local auto parts stores such as Autozone ( not in California) or Advance Auto parts or Pep Boys will scan and retrieve any diagnostic trouble codes ( dtc ) stored in the powertrain control module for free of charge..

      2. Amazon.com has the code reader for less than $ 17.50 dollars + free shipping
      Autel MaxiScan MS300 CAN Diagnostic Scan Tool for OBDII Vehicles

      3.Re-post the dtc's in here " answer question " for further assistance.

      Note: we need the dtc's to identify the sensor, there are a dozen different ELECTRONIC sensors to operate the car.

    My Jeep will not exceed 27 mph, nor rev past 2,500 rpm regardless of pressure applied to the accelerator.

    Jeep will not accelerate beyond 27mph, accelerator non responsive past this speed, engine does not rev past 2,500 rpm.
    just prior to this occurring started vehicle, and it immediately shut down, I started it again and everything seemed fine......

      Check for any codes. There may be something serious that the pcm picked up on that the computer is limiting and preventing damage to.

    I noticed a rattling sound coming from underneath the jeep what can it be?
    when you come to a stop the noise goes away and come back when the liberty is rolling..AT lows speeds it squeals and once u accelerate its starts to turn into a rattling noise ...sound like the drive train maybe differential ..

      The check engine light doesn't have to be ON to store a fault code.
