Installing a door handle on your Jeep can be done when you want to change the color of the Jeep’s exterior or the design of the Jeep door handle. Changing the door handle to a painted handle can alter the overall appearance of your Jeep. This installation exercise requires patience and following the correct guidelines provided by the manufacturer.

    How do you replace windshield

Buy the correct windshield for your car from an auto-glass store.
Detach all the items attached to or near the windshield, including the rearview mirror, wipers etc.
Cover all the heater and defroster vents with paper or plastic.
Put on protective gloves, so you don't get cut by broken glass.
Check the rubber gasket around the window for damage. If it's cracked or damaged, you'll have to replace it. If the gasket is intact, insert a knife and make a slit in one corner. Carefully insert a thin screwdriver into the slit and run it around the frame to separate the gasket from the glass. Remove the gasket.
Push away the glass from the frame by gently pushing the glass from the inside. Carefully remove the glass. A windshield is quite heavy and the glass can break or shatter while removing it. You may need another person to help you with this step.
Wipe the frame thoroughly to remove all dirt or rust.
Place the gasket (the old one or a new one) around the new windshield. Place the inside of the gasket on the inside of the glass.
Apply a sealant or petroleum jelly to the outer edge of the gasket and slowly lower the glass onto the frame.
Press the windshield firmly onto the frame, making sure the gasket fits snugly.
Wipe away any excess adhesive or petroleum jelly

It is common for the wiring between the door and the body to break from repeated opening and closing of the door. It will no doubt be the drivers front door.

What would cause the hazard lights to flash without pressing either the button or the remote?
Have not been near my car in a few days but flashers were on but no alarm sounded
    • HouseCallAuto

If this has an aftermarket alarm system with a key fob, the alarm systems are wired to flash the parking lights as the alarm is activated. If it has an added alarm that does this, try temporarily disabling the alarm to see if the flashing stops.

The next time this happens, while the dash is out wiggle the ignition key (just be careful not to shut the engine off) so that the ignition switch will be disturbed slightly. if the dash immediately comes back, you have confirmed a bad ignition switch. When the dash goes out, see if you also lose the horn and wipers as well because if you do, that really confirms the bad switch for sure. I am surprised the dealer did not think of the ignition switch as a cause. This is a well known about problem for people that do a lot of repairs on late model Grand Cherokee.

every part of a jeep is bound to fail at one point or the other. the time it takes for the part to stay on and give you proper service depends on the level of maintenance that you have accorded it. recalls are hard to find but I am positive that you will be able to find replacement parts at a cheaper price if you look around. you can also find other accessories for your jeep at
