    Where is the transmission solenoid located and also the speed sensor?
    My van has 108,000 miles in it, it gives me 2 codes after I replace the crank sensor still I get 1 code, and it says on the code transmission solenoid, but unable to locate it.

      Its located on the front exterior of the trans-axle below the cooler lines and speed sensor.

    Four wheel drive not working

      Check your 4x4 switch. Its located on the right side of the front axle near the actuator. Unplug the wire. Unscrew it from the axle with the wire. Then have someone engage it into 4x4 high. Being careful while being under the truck. There should be a small round shiny bolt that will come out when engaged. If not, its probably needs to be replaced. Other than that, get the actuator checked, too. Sometimes, if your transfer case fluid is low, that will cause the problem.

    Drives good forward but has a hard time backing up when put in reverse
    drives good forward transmission and motor seems good but when we put in reverse it goes very slow like it doesnt want to go but goes slow. we

      Check the transmission fluid for proper level, add or change the oil if necessary. Check if this will correct the problem. If not, post another query with additional details like noise or vibration while doing that particular operation.

    My ram is acting up and i know a code that i got from auto-zone, it's P1756. what is P1756?
    i did a fuild and filter change on it after we moved bcuz it started slipping. the slip went away and it was doin good then the check engine came on. put the truck on a tester at autozone and got the P1756.

      90% of the time the cause of this code is not rectified without replacing the transmission. The other 10% of the time the problem is solved by replacing the Governor Pressure Sensor and Governor Pressure Solenoid, but don't hold your breath.

    Why does my gear shifter stay in Drive?
    My car has 145,000 miles and it's automatic. I was driving my car. Came to a complete stop at a parking stall, and the gear shifter would not go into Park, Neutral. It would not move out of Drive.

    Speedo does not work till you get up around 65 mph
    this dint happen till i changed the sensirs on the exhaust

    I am a mech.,i have never replaced an automatic on this durango.
    will not shift into 2nd,i believe the band,is shot,goes from 1st to high rattling sound in park from trans.what all is req. to remove this trans,is there,a rebuild kit i can buy,want to do this as a winter project,thanks

      Check the cv boots and joints. If the boots are torn, there's a good chance the joints are damaged.

    Transmission Problem
    The transmission was running fine, then all of a sudden it went into limp mode. It operates in either 2nd gear or reverse.

      Go to Chrysler parts dept and buy the input and output shaft speed sensors, easily replaced and not expensive. Not a sure thing but close.

    What causes transmission to drop into a lower gear at different speeds without any noticeable reason?
