      1. Open the tail gate.

      2. Remove the two bolts that hold the tail light assembly to the body.

      3. Carefully rotate the assembly out (parallel to the ground) until it snaps free from the body. (Place a small piece of cloth at the apex of the horizontal V shaped edge where the ball-jointed peg is attached to the body. This will help to prevent the assembly from scratching the paint job.)

      4. You then have ready access to all of the bulb connectors from the back side of the assembly.

      5. Rotate the bulb connector counter clockwise to free the bulb connector.

      6. Pull the bulb straight out of the connector.

      7. Align the new bulb as the old bulb was aligned, and gently, yet firmly, push the new bulb into place.

      8. Return the connector to the empty hole in the assembly and rotate it clockwise to secure it.

      9. Push the ball-jointed peg into its receptacle in the body, and reconnect the assembly to the body with the two bolts remove in step 2.

Better send this to a certified electrician to prevent any damage to audio components. You can use the "Find a Shop" feature of AutoMD for nearby shops in your area.

      Disregard my answer
What I mean your trouble could be due to a defective dash voltage regulator or gauge, a lost of a ground at the sending unit and a possible break in the wire going to the dash.
    • HouseCallAuto

The sending unit in the fuel tank is faulty and needs replacement. Probability is 100%.

How do you replace the cigarette lighter in the console?
    • Pave Low
      10/1/2010 Pave Low
First check your fuses. If that isn't the problem try this: take a small flat head screw driver and gently bend the two prongs out a little bit. They are used to hold the lighter in place so that it will operate properly. If your lighter works with the key off remove the fuse first. As for replacing the lighter there are two wires connected on the back side you'll need to remove them. On some lighters you will have to unscrew the outer body to remove the lighter others have a nut that has to be removed. Access to the back side of the lighter is always a pain and how you gain access depends on the make, model and year.
