Sounds to me like you have some air in your brake lines or brake master cylinder. You might be low on fluid and if you go up a steep hill or down one the fluid can lean to one side and let air bubbles in. I would first check the fluid level and if that is full than you may have air leaking into the system somewhere else. If you know how to bleed your brakes its really simple fix but if not take it to you shop of choice and it shouldn't be more than $100 to bleed the brakes. But if the brake master cylinder is shot than it could cost a fed hundred. Hope this helps good luck!!! (now if only someone would answer my question......)

There's a burning rubber smell coming from the drivers side rear. What could that be?
I smell it outside the vehicle after driving.

If rear drums I would look to see if your wheel cylinder is leaking. If Rear rotors, check calipers for possibly slide pins seized or pads hanging up.

    Front brakes won't release
Occasionally , the front brakes will not release after application. New master cylinder , new calipers and new booster. No warning lights. Brakes will actually get tighter to the point of not being able to move it.

There is not a repair shop or dealer that has been able to find anything?

The only thing to cause (Both Front Calipers) to stay applied or drag, would be ABS
Braking System related (if it is both sides)

Have these shops not checked all vehicle modules or road tested with you
driving to gather info from you?

Then drive again before returning the vehicle to you -that seems to be a common problem
with these issues-- then they had to know the issue was still there & made it your problem

I hate to see you go to a dealer but local shop or dealer they have to check bulletins first,
then scan tool data, gather info from you & road test

Occasionally, only front brakes etc,you would think that would be a clue in their diagnosing things

Hit brakes to avoid deer, warning lights staying on.
Road icy, hit brakes to avoid deer, now the brake warning lights stay on and I have very LITTLE brake peddle. Also, when in 4wd vehicle hops, mainly when turning, also sometimes when starting out.

sounds like you may have popped a wheel cylinder causing a fluid leak which would cause the rear brakes to stick.

The proper way would be to pull tank and remove old brakeline and position new brakeline where old one was, another way is to route over tank securing it along the way making sure the metal brakeline is not on another metal object (chaffing) put rubber hose or such in between.

If this happens just before you come to a stop a faulty wheel speed sensor/tone ring is a common problem with these vehicles. Typically one of the front hub bearings is the problem. Once you pinpoint which one is the problem, I recommend replacing the wheel speed sensor and hub as a unit because the tone wheel is internal in the hub. Your mechanic will have to monitor the wheel speed sensors with a scan tool while driving and notice which wheel drops to 0 mph before the others.

You need to check turn switch and wiring. Usually your lower brake lites are wired through the turn signal switch.

Also, sometimes a poor ground can make electricals do some funny things.

When making a slow, fairly tight left turn the ABS engages. Have also had a pretty big "clunk" on 2 occasions.
    dealer can find nothing wrong

Possible master cylinder failure, calipers dragging, internally collapsed brake hose(s), can be diagnosed by loosening brake fittings in the system to relieve residual pressure & noting what action releases brakes.
