Why is my serpentine belt squeeling after I put it back on?
My fiance went off the road in her Buick park avenue and the belt slipped off I put it back on but its very tight and now squeels. I put the belt on according to the schemetics so that shouldn't be the problem.

It shouldn't be very tight, there's usually a some sort of psi or torque ratio you need to use

And remember if a belt is to tight then you can break it or wear out bearings in the alternator, compressor, etc

A p0300 is a random misfire and a p0306 is a cylinder 6 I think, if this starter from sitting up it could be the plugs are foulded from lack of use or the fuel injectors are clogged

Maybe an issue with ignition switch? As far as the starter circuit, if the starter motor won't crank, then check voltage circuit at the starter. Usually there are two voltage circuits at the starter, one is battery voltage, hot all the time, the other circuit goes hot with key in the crank position. Any testing at the starter, make sure tranny is in park or neutral and the parking brake is set.

I haven't looked at the wiring circuits for your other issues, but, some of those circuits may go hot with the key on, which would lead back to ignition switch. May have to check voltage to and from ignition switch when problem is ongoing.

      Check your ground circuits, also.

What is odd is that it was happening last summer. Have not had a single problem since last summer until today again now that the outside temperature is going up. It will start with no problem in the morning. When I leave work in the afternoon it may have an issue and it may not. While driving down the road even if it starts ok and runs ok, the issue may happen.

My husband was going over a speed bump today and there was a loud snapping sound and the steering wheel just spins.
We opened the hood and it it looks as if the engine has dropped down. The car still moves but you cant steer the car. A month ago it started shaking when I would go 45 + mph. Ive only had this car for a year. We bought it from a private owner who is a mechanic who ...

If the engine has moved, then this indicates broken/worn engine mount(s). Be sure to replace all the mounts at the same time - due to age/wear/mileage considerations.

The spinning steering wheel could be a broken steering shaft or shaft coupling - caused by the motor mount / motor movement - to interfere with the steering.

Check these various on-line vendors;,,, to list only a few.
The engine mounts cost around $18.00 each (front left or right sides) for your vehicle.

because you went over a bump I think the front frame dropped causing the steering coupler to pull out of the steering rack possible cause frame bushing bolts or washers broke/missing

All the lights and dash lights are flickering and the car runs rough when stopped at a stop sign or traffic light.
The car has 192,000 miles on it. The lights do flicker when up on speed but not as bad. Thought it might be the alternator but replaced it with an AC Delco Rebuild last year. Reason for change the Volt light was on. The problem just started last week but getting ...

Check the vehicle for fault codes to see if there are any sensors were involved to the malfunction of the engine.

1.Local auto parts stores such as Autozone ( not in California) or Advance Auto parts or Pep Boys will scan and retrieve any diagnostic trouble codes ( dtc ) stored in the powertrain control module for free of charge..

      2. has the code reader for less than $ 19.79 dollars + shipping
Autel MaxiScan MS300 CAN Diagnostic Scan Tool for OBDII Vehicles

3.Re-post the dtc's in here " answer question " for further assistance.

Note: we need the dtc's to identify the sensor, there are a dozen different ELECTRONIC sensors to operate the car.

Visit this site and see all the different sensor definitions.

      Throttle Position (TP) sensor
      Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor

Clean out the cooling system / replace the radiator - the lack of coolant flow is causing the overheating.

Nope - the catalytic converter is part of the exhaust /emissions system - not related to the cooling system.
