2000 Ford Ranger XLT 6 Cyl 3.0L
replacing belt tensioner. do i remove the radiator? do i need any special tools?

No need to remove the radiator. Remove the belt first and remove the nut holding the tensioner and its adjuster. There's no special tool needed only a couple of box end wrenches. Do not replace the part while the engine is hot.
