2003 Ford Taurus SE 6 Cyl 3.0L - Engine
Replaced alternator-was putting out AC instead of DC power causing it to die. Now I have a surge at stops. Any ideas?
The going dead at lights has been going on for almost a year. They just figured out it was the alternator. But it won't stop surging! Any ideas? 3 shops can't figure it out.

Please detail the symptoms better, cannot just say surge at stops because that leaves me to interpret what you mean. Also have to know fault codes stored in computer. Also want to know what engine code (8th digit of the VIN) it is? A 2 or S or U ?
