2012 Nissan Versa 1.6 SV 4 Cyl 1.60L

Transmissions & Drivetrains

Rebuilt transmission no reverse gear.

Transmission was rebuilt. Valve body solenoids replaced. Filter changes. O Rings, trans oil pump replaced, CVT variators and belts have been replaced. Car drives amazing forward. Works in low gear, neutral works, parking working. Reverse the engine just revs and the clutch doesn't seem to be engaging and you don't feel any shifting what so ever. Could this be an internal issues, or something with the valve body not getting the correct amount of pressure to engage the reverse clutch?

Yes, maybe related to valve body, reverse solenoid among other possibilities.

Hopefully, the previous rebuild work is under warranty - so recommend to return the vehicle to the repair shop for their diagnosis and correction.
