2007 Chrysler Sebring Base 4 Cyl 2.4L

P2004 / P2017 Intake Manifold Errors

My 2007 Chrysler Sebring has error codes:
P2004 - Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open Bank 1.
P2017 Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor/Switch Circuit High Bank 1.
I contacted a local dealer, and they advised me that it requires a flashing of the ECU, and replacement of the Intake Manifold. The price they are quoting for the entire repair is $750 with labor. $350 of that price is for the Intake Manifold part #04884495AF. I have found an OEM Intake Manifold part on eBay for $248. The seller states it is compatible, but I want to be certain it is before purchasing it.
If I purchase this part, and bring it to a dealer will they install it? Also can a third party mechanic in Massachusetts do an ECU flash, or does that require taking the vehicle to a dealer?
Thanks in advance for any answers

Do you think a restaurant would cook food that you bring to them? Probably not! Same goes for most repair shops, I know I don't install customer supplied parts. At my shop I have 20 OE tools and can reprogram just about anything with wheels, the shop down the street has no OE tools and can't program anything. The tools are available to anyone who wants them but most places choose not to buy them, you'll need to call around and see who has the tooling to reprogram your PCM, if it's actually needed.

The most probable answer is no they won't. first of all, you made a mistake of contacting the mechanic and inquiring on the charges of both the replacement and the installation. Obviously, if you go with your own part, they might charge a higher or refuse to install it for you al the same. Look for another mechanic.
