What the P0452 code means?
P0452 is an OBD-II generic code for a voltage issue with the EVAP system in that the voltage received by the engine computer from the system is not within the manufacturer's parameters.
What causes the P0452 code?
Failed fuel tank pressure sensor
Harness to the sensor has an open or short circuit
Faulty electrical connection to the FTP sensor
Cracked or broken vapour line to the vacuum canister
Cracked or broken positive vapour line to the tank
What are the symptoms of the P0452 code?
Normally, no symptoms other than a stored code and a service engine soon lamp will be exhibited.
However, other evaporative emission control system codes are likely to be present.
Common mistakes when diagnosing the P0452 code?
Evaporative emission control system components are often replaced in error when a vacuum leak is present
or the fuel cap is not properly tightened.
