1989 Toyota Supra Base 6 Cyl 3.0L - Engine
i m not gettin any spark from my coil and it wont start whats wrong?
1989 toyota supra wont start. i checked to see if it was getting fire and there was no spark from the coil so i replaced it and the coil still has no spark! i thought it was the coil wire which goes to the distributor so i checked to see if there was any spark coming directly from the coil turns out that theres not so i checked to see if there was any juice going to the coil and it was all the way to the coil plug but nothing coming out of the coil. im stomped! why isnt it any spark coming from the coil?

    No start, no spark.
Tests/Procedures: 1. With the key in the on position determine if the check engine light is on key on and that it stays on during crank.

    2. Check to see if there are any stored engine codes by jumping terminal T - E1 in the diagnosis box.
    Potential Causes: Coil

Tech Tips: The Toyota vehicles are very good for setting codes. If a specific code comes back, check the component first.

Have you measured the resistance of the pickup coil?
