1997 Ford Taurus G 6 Cyl 3.00L

loses power and wont rev up

my 97 ford taurus starts ok and runs fine vwhen its cool out but when its 65dgrees out it starts great but after driving and it warms up if im going down the interstate it losses power you can floor it and it just like baw, put in neutral shut off engine while car is still going down road start it back up runs fine for a couple of miles then does it again. another thing is after i start it and it warms up sitting in drive way i can floor it and it goes up to about 3500 rpms and starts surging it wont go past 3500 rpms

Did you check for a Blocked Exhaust Converter ?
Did you check Fuel Pressure ?
Did you drive the car with a Scan Tool to gather Vehicle Data & return
to evaluate the data ?
You can only test your way to a problem & solution,doing nothing usually
ends with what you have.
Even if you had no issues,Ford restrict RPM in neutral & park.
