spanionneo 3/18/2013Sounds like a damaged Key cylinder
HouseCallAuto 3/18/2013Yes I agree with spanionneo. The switch is easily replaced. The hard part is doing it so you can re-use your existing ignition key. The key has a transponder inside the key for the security / anti-theft system. Have to either reprogram a new key ($150 minimum by a third party like a dealer or advanced locksmith) or have the local locksmith code the lock cylinder so it matches the old one you took out. Otherwise the engine will not start.
