1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 8 Cyl 5.2L

Engine

My Jeep has a new battery and a new alternator. The wiring and fuses look good, but it's not charging at all.

I was wondering if the resister(?) that mounts to the alternator's field terminals can go bad and if so, if that would prevent charging cycle by possibly allowing the magnetic field to collapse. Any help troubleshooting this problem would be greatly appreciated. - Ken Hays
