Why does my idle air control valve keep going bad?

    Make sure the battery and both battery terminals are in perfect condition. if the battery is old, replace it. if the terminals look bad, replace them. Chrysler products are very sensitive to low voltage caused by problems at the battery. Do not assume that because it starts that the connections must be good because that does not promise anything on a Chrysler. The first thing affected by a low voltage condition on a Chrysler product is the idle air control making it look defective when in fact it is fine and the problem is caused by one of the things I mentioned.
