how can i know, what type of motor ??

how can i find out what type of motor does my car has?? looking for parts for my car they ask me what type of motor my car has , and i can find anything that tells me if is 1.5, 1.6 , si, sx, cx,dx,ex,xl,sx,. how can i know?

They put it in several places on the car one is usually on the top of the engine it says it. It also will say it on the vehicle info sticker that all manufacturer's put under the hood and on the side of the drivers front door. unless someone removed those at some point they should be there. Check on the under side of the actual hood, its usually labeled engine family. as for what sub model you ex dx si? that is on the back of the car if the emblem has fallen off then check your registration it should be on there.

looking for those lables i notice that they paint the car and i do not see any lables on the door, hood and on the motor it just say 16 valvles and nothing else on the back part does not has anything . can you tell just looking at the motor the way the parts are or if the 1.5 has something els then the1.6 i don't know something like that u know

Hi nacho, most of the time you can tell by looking at the top of the engine. It is usually located on your valve cover. An easy way for me to pull this information is by going to this website... http://www.knfilters.com/search/vin_part_search.aspx just type in your vin number and it will give you all that info. It's an easy way for me to identify the car's info when I do work on them.
