How much will spent on changing heater core? Thank you!

I could not get heat and a shop said to me that is because of clogged heater core...

Try the AutomD Negotiator ( http://www.automd.com/negotiator/) feature on this site it is free. They will call local shops for the repair that you needed and send the multiple quotes from your local shops. So you can compare job prices within your area.

You may want to try this.Check the direction of coolant flow through the heatercore then carefully remove the coolant hoses from the heatercore. Use a garden hose to flush the heater core for about 5 minutes. Now,using an air hose, force compressed air through the heatercore in the opposite direction of the coolant flow..This should force the sediment out of the heatercore. Flush with the garden hose.Repeat with compressed air.Flush and check water flow through the heatercore. If satisfied with the fiow reinstall coolant hoses, refill engine coolant, then check heat level.NB. It!s worth a try..may save you a few bucks
