1999 Buick LeSabre Limited 6 Cyl 3.80L


My headlights and dashlights flicker when car is idling what could be the problem. Its a 99 buick lasabre

The check engine light just came on also any connection

1.Local auto parts stores such as Autozone ( not in California) or Advance Auto parts will scan and retrieve any diagnostic trouble codes stored in the powertrain control module for free of charge..

2. Amazon.com has the code reader for less than $22.00 dollars.

3.Re-post the dtc's in here " answer question " and we will advise the repair.

Note: we need the dtc's to identify the sensor, there're a dozen different sensors to operate the car and we can't do with a guesswork.

Note: the headlights and dashlights flicker when car is idling could been caused by the alternator. Local auto parts stores will test this vehicle charging system with their mobile analyzer and it will determine the problem of the alternator.
The alternator generates direct current for recharging the battery and for powering vehicle electrical loads.
