Why is my engine running very loud like a school bus or semi truck when they accelerate from being idle?
The truck has 110, 000 miles. I have only had since about 75,000 miles, so I'm not sure what work was done to it previously. The loud engine noise has progressively gotten worse and now it runs every time I accelerate. I've had to refill my coolant three or four times over the past few months. Acceleration from sitting idle is terrible and that's when it is its loudest. I'd like to fix this myself, so if anyone can help me narrow down what I need to do that would be great. Please ask any questions. Thanks in advance.
