it would die suddenly while driving with no acceleration so changed IAC now it starts but quits at op temp.
The car has about 130,000 miles . Ive looked and fixed as many vacuum leaks as I can find. I put in new plugs, new plenum gasget and new TPS sensor . I changed the coolant temperature sensor and the fuel pressure regulator.
The problem seems to be with the "Idle learn" of the Idle air control or something else as I can keep it running until the motor comes up to operating temperature then sputters and dies. I can get it to start again if I unplug the Iac. The fuel pump was changed about a year ago. I have a new fuel filter but have not installed it yet.I checked the resistance of the injectors. I have not checked the fuel pressure But this does not seem to be the problem as the motor reeves up fine until hot. Could this have anything to do with the EGR or vacuum purge system or how about the Map sensor? Someone told this could be a clogged exhaust converter? Any help would be great thanks.
